31 For 21: New Traditions

This post isn't at all related to Down syndrome, but then again, our lives aren't all about Down syndrome either.

Marlon and I have always loved the holiday season.  Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas....we're obsessed.  We decorate more and more every year, but now that we have Kennedy the holiday season has a whole new meaning.  We are so excited to start new traditions for our family over the next couple of months.  Tomorrow we're going to a pumpkin patch.  I remember going with my parents as a child.  Picking out the "perfect pumpkin," the hay rides, hot apple cider, picking apples and making caramel apples.  That said, I grew up in upstate New York.  Where the apple orchards and pumpkin patches were plentiful.  Now that we live in Florida, well....we'll be driving 80 miles to what I'm told is the most "real" pumpkin patch around.  I can't wait to kick off the Halloween festivities with Kennedy tomorrow!

I have to share a little bit of her cuteness, since I've really been slacking on the pictures this week.  I'm sure I'll have more than enough to make up for it tomorrow!

  2. She is so adorable! I felt the same about traditions, it's the best bit about becoming your own little family, deciding which things you will do that your little ones will grow up remembering with fondness :)
