31 For 21 - 21 Things About Kennedy (and photos)

1) She was born on February 19, 2011 at a freestanding birth center.  That was when she was diagnosed with Down syndrome and an AV Canal Defect.

2) She has brought endless love and joy to our family.

3) Kennedy has a smile that can light up a room.

4) Her eyes can melt your heart.

5) She's extra snuggly, and her favorite place to nap is mommy's chest.

6) At 4.5 months old Kennedy had open heart surgery.

7) At 7.5 months old, you would never know that she had open heart surgery 3 months ago.

8) She loves all things monkey related.  Her favorites are her monkey security blanket, and the monkey daddy brought her from Tennessee.

9) Favorite toys include Sophie the Giraffe, her Star Stacker, and Baby Einstein Ball.  She's also frequently seen carrying her pink purse.

10) Favorite foods include:  Breast milk.  That's #1.  She also loves sweet potatoes, squash and raspberries.  Dislikes, green beans and prunes.

11) She loves to spend time outside.  Swimming is her favorite, but swinging at the park is a close second.

12) Favorite colors are pink and purple.

14) At the age of 3 months, Kennedy learned how to use her first iPhone App.

15) Kennedy is a princess.  She's more than capable of doing a lot of things, but she would rather someone do it for her.

16) Even though she can hold her bottle, she prefers if we hold it for her, so she can hold our finger while she eats.  We think it's pretty sweet.

17) She can feed herself with a spoon, and is mastering the sippy cup this week.

18) Kennedy loves to shop.  Her favorite stores include: Toys R Us, Gymboree, The Children's Place and Carter's.

19) Favorite Vacation Destination: Hilton Head Island.

20) Her cuteness and outstanding personality attract the attention of strangers every where we go.

21) Kennedy has defied the odds and has already proven a lot of people wrong.  She's a determined little girl and she's going to achieve anything she wants in life!
